So clever

Dustin thought he was pretty clever for thinking of this. What does this make you think of?

Yep. Hot Dog and Bun. Funny one Dustin. Because she's a weenie dog.

And just so you'll get a glimpse of how Phoebe sleeps. She likes to get halfway under the kitchen counter and contort her body. She's a weird one.

Fun in the rain

It had been really rainy, and the dogs were getting cabin fever, so we decided that since they were due for their weekly bath we would take them out to the parking lot next to our apartments and let them run around inthe puddles and rain. I forgot my camera though! But here is an after picture. Sophie doesn't look like she's wet, but she actually is. They LOVED running in the puddles!

......and so did Dustin. He liked the puddles too.

...and here comes the suds. We found that bathing them in the sink was a little hard since they both are big now. We can contain them a little better this way!

Easter Egg Hunt

Mandy came home from Australia with little Grace and Haylee for a visit, so I was able to go to an Easter Egg hunt with them! They are such sweet girls. I just love them to pieces!

This is Marilyn Harline, the girl's grandma. Haylee absolutley couldn't get enough of the slide. Super cute.

Haylee finding a few eggs...

Grace loved walking around swinging her little basket.....Mandy and I called it a trash bucket because hers was tin and everyone else's was woven. She would pick up each egg one by one, open it, eat the candy inside, then throw the egg back down.

Phoebe found herself!

Okay, you'll have to go to the bottom of the page and pause the music to listen to this. Well Phoebe finally found herself in the mirror. Dustin was holding her on his chest when she realized there was another dog in the view across from her. She is the most stubborn, and definitely the funnier dog of the two. Sophie never cared for the dog in the mirror- I think she already was too good to believe it was another dog.

My surprise...

I came home from work one day to find this in the driveway...

I follow it into the back yard...

It is leading me into the kitchen...

and I find a very nicely set table....

with Dustin putting the finishing touches on a nice dinner.

He made us fettuccini alfredo, stuffed olives, cucumbers, garlic bread, and a salad with mandarin oranges, feta cheese, tomatoes , and spinach. Of course we had to have the sparkling grape juice! And for dessert he even baked a strawberry swirl cheesecake. It was soooo delicious! I asked him the reason ,and all he said was ' I haven't cooked you a nice dinner in a while'. That's it. No real reason. isn't he so sweet? We were actually house sitting here at my parents house, so we liked the fact of having a dining room table to eat at instead of a bar area with stools. Dustin even rented a movie so we could just relax for the evening. No, it was not a romantic chick flick. It was Eagle Eye. Pretty good action movie, but I fell asleep about half into it! I was so tired from the day! I sure love my Dustin and how he takes care of me. :)

Sunset & Bunkbeds

First off, isn't this view just awesome? I love watching sunsets. This is our view from our apartment balcony.. too bad we'll be facing the opposite way starting in May... at least we won't get the absurd afternoon Texas heat.

Okay, the other night I was looking around wondering where Sophie was, and I see a little nose peeking out from under her bed. Dustin had just taken Sophie and Phoebe out for their evening bathroom break, and it was actually pretty cold outside, so I guess Sophie came back in and crawled under her bed! She has never done that before! Aren't her ears hilarious all backwards? They look like bat ears- all inside-out-like.

Aahhhh, so good.

....and of course Phoebe wants to be as close to Sophie as possible. It was a funny scene to watch Phoebe keep walking over the top of Sophie trying to get comfy. I don't think she even noticed. It's kinda like a bunkbed I guess.

Bath time fun....and then some

I'm not sure why we always forget to take pics of Sophie's bathtime fun, but we just can't get enough of the wet look on long-haired Pheebs.

Show off that profile girlfriend!

I tried to catch this a little sooner to get more of her going crazy, but Dustin and I were laughing so hard! I guess she just couldn't wait to get that just washed smell off! Sophie was running around wild after her bath, too. I guess it's a dog thing to go crazy after getting a bath. The next day or so Phoebe kept rolling in every single smelly thing within reach.

After all the partying they cuddled up, and Phoebe even had her paw on top of Sophie's head. It was super cute. BFF all the way.

I love Norman

My older brother Gabe opened his own dental office the week that my mom and I went to visit and help out with their new baby. This is at his ribbon cutting! It was so exciting and I am so happy for my brother. He and Sonya did a great job decorating it and worked so hard to finally get Gabe his own business. My sister in law ( my other brother's wife) Ashley is Gabe's office manager! She is the one on the far left in the black scrubs.

Gabe's office was called The Dental Lodge- and it totally looked like a lodge inside with wood for everything from cabinets, to floors, to front desks, he even had part of a tree trunk as a portion of the wall by the front desk. It was really cool! He and Sonya decorated everything themselves, and it looked like something straight out of a magazine.

This is my great and awesome sister in law Sonya with 3 of her 4 kids. Addison, Baby Jake and Jared. Jake was only 10 days old here!

Isn't he so sweet? He even has a little cleft in his chin!

Here's Miss Addie, always with a big cheese smile on her little face!

Miss Emma such a sweet and sharing little girl. If she saw me using her hair brush she would say, 'Oh! that's my brush, you can use it! That's okay.' We became pretty good friends. :)

Jared was always the first on the scene to get his picture taken. He's pretty full of energy!

Here's Jared, me and Jake and miss Emma before bedtime just hangin out.

Jake is such a sweet and content little baby. He just sits and looks around and never cries! I hope my babies turn out like him!

Miss Addison just got up from her nap,and we all had a good laugh at her hair- it was everywhere!! Her hair is very light and straight and wispy, I guess she rolled around a little too much during her sleep.

I just can't get over how sweet Jake is- he just loved to cuddle. He usually was rolled up in a little ball with his bum sticking out, but I guess he was pretty relaxed at this point.

Every time I broke out the camera the kids would come running saying 'cheese!' and posing in front of me. They are such great little nieces and nephews!
